If you’re operating an air filtration or dust extraction set-up, then selecting the right system is paramount. Depending on your industry, capacity and needs, there are various designs you can look at and a bespoke option may be the way to go forward. We’re going to take a look at when it’s best to choose a bespoke air filtration system over an off-the-shelf, preconfigured option.
Every project we work on is different. At Pennaire Filtration, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality through our meticulously-engineered filters and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems. Our products are sold, designed and installed by specialist engineers. This ensures seamless integration of our expertise at every stage of the process. We’ve supplied a range of filtration products and services, offering solutions across a spectrum of industries. These include filtration systems for businesses in Minerals (Cement, Carbon Black and Lime), Chemical Processing (Drying, Milling and Calciners), Food Processing (Chocolate, Flour and Sugar) and Pharmaceutical Metals (Aluminium, Foundry and Recycling). From basic venting units and dust control systems through to product collectors, process filters and clean in place (CIP) technology. We have the ability to meet the demands of all industry sectors, and configure a solution that works for you.
Our bespoke package won’t suit every application, however. Often, we’re integrating with existing systems, or the client knows exactly what set-up they require. Our technical sales and contracts engineers are process driven – from understanding the clients’ requirements, they can help in many cases with choosing the correct specification requirements, so ultimately configure and offer the best possible solution. All Pennaire filters are fabricated in the UK and meet the current ATEX and PED requirements. Aspects our engineers look at in their evaluation include ATEX Regulation requirements for electrical items and ATEX Regulations in relation to explosion relief requirements. Our capabilities also include PSR or Pressure vessel filter design with PD5500 & ASME design and manufacturing specifications where required. Whether it’s Reverse Jet Bag Filters, Cartridge Filters, or Cyclone Dust Collectors, our engineers can customise layouts for specific requirements, to find the system that works best for them.
Bespoke or off-the-shelf, all projects are unique to us and we approach each one with the same attention to detail. Onsite meetings with our clients outline project scope and also give us an idea of the working environment and spatial parameters of the site. From initial contact with the client, the filter or collector requirements are specifically selected and designed by our experienced technical sales team. This process will include input from the contracts department, so it fully meets the clients’ requirements and expectations. Although the principles remain the same for filter selection, great emphasis is placed on client contact and communication from start to finish. In this way, the equipment offered is tailored to the clients’ requirements and not to our standard product range, as with so many filter suppliers. This bespoke approach ensures that we offer something different to our competitors, while delivering high-performance and efficiency.
